Yesterday i went to the Western Australian Museum with a friend to look at dead animals and insects. The insects are the most intriguing, the fact that they are so small and still in such perfect condition (without being squashed i mean). My friend said that they suffocate them, so as to not tamper with their natural state, an awful thought.... what if they were claustrophobic? Murder.
My favourite was probably the mice pinned to the diagram on the wall... straight from the lab. Oh, and the last picture (which i think is a baby north-west blower fish) looks like a shriveled old penis with eyes and a mouth.

Hello
ReplyDeleteI really cannot believe I've just stumble upon your blog by now...it's truly amazing: the museum looks wonderful, you're beautiful, you ramble about hel looks and bronski beat 80s gay anthems...perfection?
I suppose it is. At least for me.
