If there's always tomorrow
But tomorrow isn't here yet
And we just want to leave
Yesterday in the past
But yesterday hasn't arrived yet
Then where does that leave
Us now?
Stuck in a timeless limbo
For eternity?
Does eternity disregard time?
Is every second wasted if we
Leave it in the past anyway?
Does the future even matter if
We can't see it yet?
Or
Are we so busy thinking about
Mistakes that we have made
And mistakes that we haven't
Even made yet
That we forget about now?
I think so.

THINGS
My new favourite blog, a reference pit of many things including all our favourite pop culturists, a slightly obsessive collection of Nicki Minaj candy porn and Chanel show stills from the fashion graveyard:

ISN'T HE DIVINE?
Some would say i'm a huge fan of the filmmaker John Waters. Others would say that i'm head over heels in love with him.
I guess I just hold a lot of respect for him and his offbeat and filthy films.
Earlier in the year I was lucky enough to have had the chance to see John Waters' live spoken word show 'This Filthy World' at the Sydney Opera House. He spoke about Divine, Politics, the often repulsive gay world, and of course RUSH (which made it refreshing to know that poppers is a hobby of his).
Apart from the fact that he idolizes Rei Kawakubo of Comme des Garcons fame, my interest in John Waters does not in anyway intersect with my interest in fashion, however they do seem to sit nicely together on my shelf of interests. Filth and Fashion. All good things start with an F.
If there are any of you who are yet to discover the wonderful world of Waters, go and buy his newest book 'Role Models', then watch all of his films, and fall in love with him as I have.
Oh, and also, watch the three part interview with John from Andy Warhol TV from 1981.
Oh, and also also, how strange is it that John's from Baltimore, where all of his films are set, and as I type this, Silence of The Lambs is playing in the background, a film also set in Big Bad Baltimore. I dream of such a land.

DECEPTIVE MOTHS
The butterflies are in my face,
To make sure that I don't erase,
The memory of outer space,
That I now know I must not chase,
The butterflies are in my head,
I block them out until they're dead,
Though when I put my mind to bed,
They linger in my dreams instead,
The butterflies are in my eyes,
Blocking views of pastel skies,
And hopeless thoughts of a demise,
Or erasure of all the lies.
by Me.

ASTROTURFAHOLICS ANONYMOUS
Today was a fabulous day. My second best friend Chloe picked me up at lunch time, we ate left over pizza, then headed to Belmont in WA to pull apart the opshops.
On the way, we had to make a quick pit stop at the local Astroturf centre to order some turf for an installation that Chloe's working on. On the way out of the centre, we noticed a huge dumpster full of offcuts of super high quality astroturf. We loaded our arms full of the stuff and headed back to Chloe's car to dump it in the boot. When we got to the car, we looked at each other, and both knew that what we had taken was not enough. We were turning into Astroturfaholics, so we jumped in the car, drove back to the dumpster and pulled out every last little bit of turf and shoved it into the car. Apart from the fact that we looked like complete lunatics, we had a LOT of fun.
Then we went opshopping, which was, as always in Perth, the best thing we could have done. So many bargains to be had.

DEAD STUFF
I'm currently on vacation in Perth, just relaxing and visiting friends who live here. After being in Sydney for so long, it really makes me appreciate this big ol' country town. It's so far from the east coast of Australia and, in comparison, so baron and empty.
Yesterday i went to the Western Australian Museum with a friend to look at dead animals and insects. The insects are the most intriguing, the fact that they are so small and still in such perfect condition (without being squashed i mean). My friend said that they suffocate them, so as to not tamper with their natural state, an awful thought.... what if they were claustrophobic? Murder.
My favourite was probably the mice pinned to the diagram on the wall... straight from the lab. Oh, and the last picture (which i think is a baby north-west blower fish) looks like a shriveled old penis with eyes and a mouth.
